This is the World calendar from the 1930's. I'm not sure who first proposed it. although it did gain some popularity, in the end people hate change (why else would most people still be using the qwerty keyboard layout instead of the Dvorak, which is already on almost all the computers in the world?) Too bad it didn't catch on.
